Hello guys,

Let me show you a cute little village called Lipa (->map).

View of Lipa in the fall. We can see Trstelj behind the village.

Lipa is situated just down a hill called Trstelj.
With its peak standing 643 m above sea level, Trstelj is the highest hill in the Slovenia Karst Region.

World war II memorial along the main road, 200 meters away from Lipa.
Walking on the main road crossing the village.

I think Lipa is one of the village that could be very interesting for hikers and cyclists.
They can walk (or ride a bike) around Lipa and continue walking up along the path leading to the peak of Trstelj.

Kids’ playground in front of the church.
Church of Lipa.

The village is about 380 m high above sea level.
If you walk along the path leading to the peak of Trstelj,
it should take you at least 60 minutes to reach the top of the hill on foot.
This path, between Sv. Michael Church and the peak of Trstelj, is about 2,3 km.

At the right side of the wall surrounding the church, you’ll see signs indicating the path leading to the peak of Trstelj.

My tips for Lipa:

1/ Go see the WWII memorial at the entrance of the village
2/ Take a stroll in the village.
3/ Hike along the path leading to the summit of Trstelj (643 meters high).
4/ Go visit the neighboring villages of Skrbina and Temnica by bike.
5/ Let your kids play in the playground near the Church
