Hello guys,
I’d like to show you a cute little village called Temnica (->map).
Temnica is 400 meters above sea level and has less than 200 inhabitants.
This village is not big, but i like it. The area surrounding the church is really nice.
From Temnica, we have a very nice view of the surrounding hills and we can also see the adriatic sea from above.
Some of the houses are very old with a typical architecture of
the karst region (house mainly made with rocks and stones).
I think the church really add a little extra charm to the village.
We can see the tower bell of Temnica from the neighbouring villages that are a bit downhill.
There are 2 long paths crossing the forrest leading to 2 neighbouring villages.
The first one leads to Lipa and the second leads to Zagrajec.
You can hike on these 2 paths to visit these 2 villages or ride a bike on the main road to get there.
The highest hill in this region is Trstelj.
From Temnica, you’ll have to walk about 3,5 km to get to the peak of Trstelj.
You can go there by (mountain) bike, on foot or by car.
If you choose to go there on foot, it should take you at least 80 minutes.
My tips for Temnica:
1/ Have a little walk in the village.
2/ Go to the summit of Trstelj.
3/ Ride a bike to visit the neighbouring villages.
4/ Hike along the path leading to Zagrajec and Lipa.
